Women in Philanthropy Awards $35,000 in Grants

When it comes to giving back to the community, Pennsylvania's Laura Ducceschi is on a roll.

The president and CEO of the Scranton Area Community Foundation tells the Times-Tribune that she's given away more than $100,000 through her foundation and its "Women in Philanthropy" program.

Among the recent recipients: a $5,000 grant to the United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA.

A $4,500 grant to Penn State Scranton.

A $3,500 grant to the University of Scranton.

A $3,000 grant to Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

A $4,500 grant to the Center for the Living City.

A $3,500 grant to the University of Scranton.

A $3,000 grant to the Outreach Center for Community Resources.
